Alexandra-Maria-Lara
Alexandra Maria Lara is a Romanian-German actress on television and film famous for her performance in films such as Downfall Youth Without Youth Control and Rush. As the only daughter from Romanian actress Valentin Platareanu, Alexandra entered showbiz early and landed up performing lead roles in various television dramas by the time she was sixteen. After her critically acclaimed role in the TV film Der Tunnel, Alexandra went on to play other noteworthy roles such as Adolf Hitler's secretary Traudljunge on Downfall. This film won an Oscar and won critical and commercial success. The Reader as well as Der Baader Meinhof Komplex were both nominated for Oscars. In the past, Alexandra has worked in several notable international and national projects. These include British biographical Control Greek drama film The Dust of Time and the French historic miniseries Napoleon among others. Also, she was part of the jury for the Transylvania International Film Festival, as well as at the Cannes Film Festival.
